Rainbow Anonymous is a Dutch LGBTQ+ non-profit organisation creating welcoming and inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ people of African, Caribbean and other diverse backgrounds.
Whether someone has recently arrived in the Netherlands or has lived here for years, our community offers opportunities to connect, find support, build friendships and celebrate identity without fear of judgement.
We believe everyone deserves a place where they feel seen, heard and valued.
We are not defined by where we came from. We are defined by what we build together.
Our beginning
How it all began
Rainbow Anonymous was founded by Sonny Jermain Ndlovu in 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic. It began with a simple but powerful belief: no one should have to rebuild their life alone.
Recognising the isolation, cultural barriers and limited opportunities for connection experienced by many LGBTQ+ people from African, Caribbean and other diverse backgrounds, Sonny Jermain created Rainbow Anonymous as a welcoming space where people could meet, support one another and build meaningful relationships.
What began as a response to isolation has grown into a community built on connection, mutual support and belonging. Today, Rainbow Anonymous continues to bring people together as they navigate opportunities, overcome challenges and build their lives in the Netherlands.

Rainbow Anonymous exists so that LGBTQ+ people of African, Caribbean and other diverse backgrounds can find belonging, support and hope while building their lives in the Netherlands.

Our mission is to foster connection, inclusion and empowerment by creating opportunities for LGBTQ+ people to build relationships, access support and celebrate their authentic identities.
Through community activities, mutual support, advocacy and collaboration, we work to ensure that people feel welcomed, respected and able to participate fully in society.
